Record Number of Retrievers to Go to NCAA East Preliminaries
INDIANAPOLIS – A school-record six athletes from the UMBC track and field teams have advanced to the NCAA East Preliminaries to be held at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. on May 23-25. The Retrievers’ total doubles the previous school-best of three which was set just last year.

PRINCETON, N.J. – UMBC sophomore Mercedes Jackson ran a new career-best and school record time to claim the top honors in the 100m dash at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, Sunday afternoon at Weaver Stadium.

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Thor Serafenas broke his own school record in the hammer throw and the women’s 4x400 relay team of sophomore Paulette Fogle, junior Deborah Adelola, sophomore Kalane’ Abbey and junior Kirsten Jones snapped their mark as the Retriever track and field teams competed on day two of the ECAC and IC4A Championships, Saturday at Weaver Stadium. Jones also set a new school-best while competing in the 400m dash event.

Elite Group of Retrievers Heads to Princeton for IC4A and ECAC Championships
BALTIMORE – An elite group of 20 Retrievers will head to Princeton to represent the UMBC track and field teams at the IC4A and ECAC Championships this weekend in New Jersey. The three-day meet will commence on Friday, May 10 with the women’s heptathlon and run through Sunday.
