UMBC Announces Under Armour as Official Outfitter of Retriever Athletics
BALTIMORE - UMBC Athletics today announced that Under Armour, Inc., the Baltimore-based leader in athletic performance apparel, footwear, and accessories will be the official outfitter of Retriever Athletics through 2018.
UMBC Lands Four Athletes on America East Cross Country All-Academic Squads
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – Junior All-Conference selection Brandan McGee headlined a group of four Retrievers named to the America East All-Academic Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon. McGee was joined on the men’s team by classmate Vinny DiSalvo, as well as sophomore Eric Schuler while junior Kirsten McGovern represented UMBC on the women’s squad. With four athletes named to the two teams, UMBC ties Hartford and Stony Brook for the most athletes recognized.
Men Place 14th, Women Finish 26th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The UMBC men’s cross country team, once again led by junior Brandan McGee (Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood), picked up a top-15 finish, Friday afternoon at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by Penn State. The men finished in 14th place with 357 pts. while the women’s squad placed 26th at the Penn State Golf Courses.
Cross Country Heads to Penn State for NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday
BALTIMORE – After a week off from competition, but less than two weeks removed from the America East Championships, the UMBC cross country teams take to the course this Friday, Nov. 9 for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. The women will kick-off the event, hosted by Penn State at the Blue-White Golf Courses, with a 6,000-meter race beginning at 12 p.m. with the men’s 10,000-meter race following at 1:15 p.m.
McGee Earns All-Conference Honors as Men’s Cross Country Finishes Third; Women Place Eighth at America East Championships
DURHAM, N.H. – UMBC junior Brandan McGee finished seventh overall, earning all-conference honors, and the UMBC men’s cross country team took third place, Saturday morning at the America East Championships at College Woods. The UMBC women’s team took eighth place behind junior Cody Mezebish.
