Senior Chris Meyer (New Market, Md./Urbana) and junior Mwali Phiri (Yonkers, N.Y.) swept their matches to highlight UMBC men’s tennis debut of the 2009-10 season at the St. Joseph’s Invitational. The final day of competition on Sunday was postponed due to rain.

Save the Date!!! The date for UMBC’s fourth annual “Advantage Retriever” tennis fundraiser is set for Saturday, Sept. 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Retriever Tennis Complex. This event is to help raise funds to make improvements to the tennis complex and has raised over $4,000 to date.
