UMBC Volleyball Faces Binghamton in America East Semifinal Friday
BALTIMORE--The UMBC volleyball team travels to Albany, N.Y. for the America East Championship, starting Friday with a semifinal match-up against second-seeded Binghamton at 4 p.m. The third-seeded Retrievers have won two in a row after defeating Stony Brook and Hartford at the RAC last weekend. The other semifinal sees number one seed and host Albany against the fourth seed, Maine, at 7 p.m. The final will be Saturday at 4 p.m. Live stats and live video will be available for the entire tournament at AmericaEast.com.

BALTIMORE—The UMBC volleyball team clinched a spot in the America East Tournament with a 3-0 win over Stony Brook on Friday night on a night when junior Ashley Oscars (Bakersfield, Calif./Liberty) became the seventh player in UMBC history to record 1,000 career kills. With the win, the Retrievers improved to 17-12 and 6-5 in America East play, while the Seawolves dropped to 12-17 and 3-8 in conference action.

BALTIMORE--The UMBC volleyball team concludes the regular season this weekend at the RAC against Stony Brook on Friday at 7 p.m. and Hartford on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Retrievers (16-12, 5-5 America East) need just one win to clinch a berth in the America East Tournament. If you can not make it to the RAC for the matches, live stats and video are available at www.umbcretrievers.com.

NEWARK, Del.—The UMBC volleyball team dropped a three-set non-conference matchup at Delaware, 18-25, 25-27 and 19-25 Tuesday night. The loss dropped the Retrievers to 16-12 on the season, while the Blue Hens improved to 16-14.

BALTIMORE--The UMBC volleyball team travels to Newark, Del. to take a break from America East play and take on Delaware Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Retrievers look to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat at Binghamton on Friday. Both live stats and live video of Tuesday’s match are available through the Blue Hens’ website.

VESTAL, N.Y.—The UMBC volleyball team dropped a four-set match, 26-28, 25-20, 20-25 and 23-25, at Binghamton Friday night in Vestal, N.Y. With the loss, the Retrievers fell to 16-11 and 5-5 in America East play, while the Bearcats improved to 14-12 and 8-1 in conference action.
