Biography

Mike D’Archangelo is now in his sixth year at UMBC.  Mike plays an intricate roll in all of the day-to-day functions and coordination of all behind-the-scenes activities for the UMBC Recreation Department.  Mike’s role stretches from managing the 120,000 sq. ft. RAC facility to dealing with all recreational program funds and appropriations.  Mike has been one of the defining factors in the UMBC recreation programs’ dramatic growth to one of the most successful in the Mid-Atlantic. Originally from Annapolis, Md., Mike attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he played baseball for four years and was named to the ACC All Academic Honor Roll.  He graduated with a degree in sports management and is finishing his M.Ed from Goucher College in Athletic Administration. Mike resides in Baltimore, Md.
