Biography
Kelly Fahey was named Community Outreach Coordinator at UMBC in July 2007. She has since been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Affairs. In addition to coordinating all community service events and activities for UMBC Athletics, Fahey is responsible for the implementation of all NCAA Student-Athlete Affairs programs. Fahey is the advisor for the UMBC Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and serves as the athletics representative on the UMBCserves Committee, the Alcohol and Other Drug Committee, and the Verizon Grant Leadership team.
The Bel Air, Md., native received four letters on UMBC’s women’s lacrosse team from 2004-2007 and earned America East All-Conference honors in 2004 and 2006. Fahey earned her bachelor’s degree in American studies from UMBC in May 2007 and her master’s degree in instructional systems development from UMBC in May 2013.
