UMBC Athletics Staff Bios
Erica Lloyd joined the UMBC Recreation staff in October of 2011. She will serve as the assistant director of the UMBC Day Camp and will also assist in coordinating all campus recreational programs.
Lloyd is a 2009 graduate of Clemson University in 2009 with a bachelorís degree in parks, recreation, and tourism management with a concentration in sport management.
She recently completed an internship with the Operations Department of the United States Olympic Committee. Many of her duties were planning and organizing events, developing proposals to make the funds available to coordinate events, and utilizing current technology to better deliver the information. Her various projects included the Chula Vista 5K Fun Run, Wounded Warriors, Blind Cycling Development Camp, 7 v. 7 Soccer Bud Cup, and community rugby events. She served as the point person for USA Swimming & Diving.
While at Clemson, the Germantown, Md. native worked football camps, ladiesí football clinics, the women's volleyball NCAA Tournament, a campaign for a Clemson's C.J. Spiller's run for the Heisman Trophy, and as a club sport supervisor for two years.
