Freshman Katie Schwaner is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she was named the #AEWXC Rookie of the Week after she helped lead UMBC to a fifth-place finish out of ten teams at the Cantello Invitational, hosted by Navy at the Navy Golf Course on Saturday morning.

Schwaner covered the 6,000-meter course in 24:16.20 and finished 33rd out of 78 competitors.
