UMBC Baseball's Samuel Downs is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after he was named the America East Pitcher of the Week for the second-consecutive week to open the season.

Downs, once again, did not allow an earned run in 6.2 IP while allowing just four total hits with one walk while striking out four batters against Monmouth.
