UMBC Women Finish 11th, Men 27th at Paul Short Run on Saturday

RESULTS

Bethlehem, Pa.-- Margo Henley led the women to an 11th place finish, while Taylor Baranoski helped lead the men to a 27th place finish at the Paul Short Run on Saturday afternoon. Henley posted a season-best time, finishing in the top 40 to help pace the women. 

Henley crossed the finish line in a time of 21:56.7 in 31st place to lead the women. Briana Roberts and Morgan Casey were just behind her in 63rd and 69th respectively with times of 22:17 and 22:22.6. Bridgett Redding and Emmy Beyer also scored for the women with times of 22:44.5 (109th) and 22:47.6 (114th). 

Baranoski paced the men's side with a 66th place finish in a time of 25:28.3, the only Retriever in the top 100. Miles Smith was the second fastest Retriever with a 132nd place finish in a time of 25:54.6. Chris Thoms, Trent Rose, and Sam Brosh were the other Retrievers to earn points finishing with times of 26:05.0, 26:05.3, and 26:13.5 respectively. 

UMBC will have the next week off before heading to their final tune-up of the season at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, October 19 before heading to the America East Championships.
