    UMBC cross country had their final tune-up before the America East Championships in two weeks at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. The women finished in ninth place, while the men finished in 21st place.

    UMBC cross country will travel to New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational on Saturday as the Retrievers prepare for the America East Championships in two weeks. The Retrievers had the week off after last racing at the Paul Short Run on October 5. Margo Henley led the women to an 11th place finish as a team with her 31st place finish. Taylor Baranoski led the men with a 66th place finish.

    Margo Henley led the women to an 11th place finish, while Taylor Baranoski helped lead the men to a 27th place finish at the Paul Short Run on Saturday afternoon. Henley posted a season-best time, finishing in the top 40 to help pace the women.

    UMBC cross country returns after last running at the Navy Invitational on September 14. In Annapolis, Morgan Casey (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery-Blair) led the women with a 12th place finish while freshman Michael Belmaggio (Frederick, Md./Linganore) placed ninth for the men.

    UMBC men’s and women’s cross country teams finished third at the Navy Invitational on Saturday morning. Morgan Casey led the way for the women with a 12th place finish, while freshman Michael Belmaggio led the men with a top ten finish placing ninth.

    UMBC cross country returns to action on Saturday at the Navy Invitational. The Retrievers last competed on August 30 at the Mount 5k Duals that saw Miles Smith (La Plata, Md./La Plata) and Morgan Casey (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery-Blair) lead UMBC to a 3-3 and 3-4 record respectively at the meet.
  • Smith, Casey Lead UMBC at Mount 5k Duals on Friday
    August 30, 2019
    Miles Smith (La Plata, Md./La Plata) and Morgan Casey (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery-Blair) led the Retrievers at the Mount 5k Duals on Friday afternoon to kick off the 2019 season. The Retriever men finished the race  with a 3-3 record defeating George Washington, Mount St. Mary’s and Stevenson. The women went 3-4 beating American, Mount St. Mary’s and Stevenson.
  • UMBC Cross Country Opens 2019 Campaign at Mount St. Mary’s Duals on Friday

    UMBC cross country kicks off another year of competition at the Mount St. Mary’s Duals on Friday. This will be the sixth straight season the team will open the season in Emmitsburg, and the 13th time in the last 15 seasons.
