At the conference championships, Omar finished fifth, pacing the Retrievers to a third place finish. Sophia Cologer led the way on the women's side, earning All-Academic honors, as she turned in a 13th place finish at the America East Championships.

2015 Season Outlook: Both the men's and women's team will feature new runners, with the men adding eight newcomers, while the women welcome two to the squad.

The men will see Urgy Eado (Rockville, Md./Thomas Wootton/Wesley) come on board as a transfer from Division III Wesley College. While at Wesley, he had his best run at the Paul Short Invitational, running the third-fastest time in Wesley school history. Joining Eado will be Carl Freund (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron), Matt Kane (Sykesville, Md./Century), Matt Kingeter (Gelncoe, Md./Hereford), Nathan Nadal (Silver Spring, Md./Thomas Wootton), Lorenzo Neal (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch), Eric Smart (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) and Nick Wardell (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron).

On the women's side, two freshmen will join the Retrievers in the fall. Kelsey Ponton (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) and Alexis Bartelloni (Morganville, N.J./Marlboro) will look to provide a spark to a squad that had their best finish in program history, placing fourth at the America East Championships last season.

Both sides will return a slew of key competitors for the 2015 season. The men will have more than half of the 2014 squad returning to Baltimore, including senior Hassan Omar (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) and junior Jon Luckin (Parkton, Md./Hereford). Omar paced the Retrievers in 2014, placing fifth at the America East Championships, helping the team to a third place finish. Omar finished as the top Retriever finisher in five of the six meets, including a fourth place finish at the Princeton Invitational. He earned a spot on the America East All-Academic team, as well as being an all-conference performer.

Luckin competed and scored in every meet, with his best finish coming at the America East Championships, where he took 14th.

The women will bring back all but one runner from last year. The team will be led by junior Sophia Cologer (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and senior Sarah Daly (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion).

Cologer ended the year on a strong note, finishing as the top finisher in the last three meets, earning her a spot on the All-Academic team. Her best finish of the year came at the Princeton Invite, where she took home 12th.

Daly started the year strong, earning top Retriever finisher in the first three meets. She took home gold at the Mount 5k Duals in a time of 17:50.
