Boston, Mass. -- Redshirt junior setter Taylor Dunn (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior outside hitter Carmen Freeman (Memphis, Tenn.) were named America East Setter and Co-Player of the Week, respectively, the conference announced tuesday morning.
Dunn picked up 41 assists in just three sets (13.7 per set), and also added eight digs, an ace and a block in UMBC's sweep of Binghamton on Sunday. Freeman earned the honor after tallying 17 kills on .355 hitting with eight digs, an ace and a block in the victory.
This is Dunn's first career weekly award, and is Freeman's second Player of the Week award this season and the sixth overall weekly award of her career.
The Retrievers travel to first place UAlbany on Friday for a 7 p.m. matchup.
