Robertson Announces Incoming 2019 Recruiting Class

Second-year Volleyball head coach Cristina Robertson announced the six student athletes that make up her first UMBC recruiting class on Monday. The group features players from five different states and the Netherlands while also representing every position on the court.

Outside hitter Kamani Conteh, right side hitter Emily Ferketic, middle blocker Niki Khoshatefeh, setter Riley Putnicki, defensive specialist Kayla Tomas, and right side hitter Anouk Van Noord will join the Retrievers volleyball roster in the Fall of 2019.

"We are incredibly excited to have this group join the UMBC Volleyball family," said Robertson. "We are definitely adding some size and skill to our roster which is going to increase the level of competition within our program. All six young women have the ability to contribute to our team both on and off the court and will be instrumental in taking another step forward with our program.
