-The Retrievers are looking to bounce back from a 0-3 weekend in the AU Volleyball Classic to host the La Salle Explorers. After straight-set losses to Virginia and host American, UMBC took a 2-1 lead over William & Mary, before dropping a heart-breaking 3-2 decision.

-Offensively, the Retrievers are led by freshman Makenzie Morgen, who has amassed 136 kills (3.02 per set), good for fifth place in America East. Four Retrievers have 2.0 kills or higher per set, including freshman Maddie Schneider (3.12, fourth in America East), and seniors Krystal Williams (2.32) and Sherelle Walker (2.14). Walker tied a team season-best with 20 kills versus William & Mary on Saturday.

Scouting the Explorers (5-10)

-After getting out to a 3-1 start, La Salle has dropped nine of its last 11 matches. They took one set off of Temple in the Big 5 Tournament, but lost in straight sets to Villanova and Penn.

-Like UMBC, La Salle faced William & Mary in 2015, and the Explorers were shutout, 3-0, by the Tribe.

-Ashley Felton (113) and Laura Kuhlmeier (110) both have topped 100 kills through 51 sets this season.

-Taylor Hite just surpassed 400 assists (408) on the season and is averaging 8.0 assists per set. She also leads the team with 21 service aces.
