Gainesville, Fla.—UMBC track and field saw a handful of relays compete on the final day of the 2019 Florida Relays. The women's 4x800m relay team had a top ten finish, finishing with the second fastest time in school history in the event.
The quartet led a trio of women's relays with a ninth-place finish, crossing the finish line in 8:57.50 just three seconds off the school record set in 2015. Both the 4x100m and 4x200m relays competed on the women's side with the 4x100m group finishing in 47.52 while the 4x200m quartet finished in 1:44.23.
The lone men's relay on the day was the distance medley relay team that took tenth with a time of 10:16.41.
UMBC will return to action at the Sam Howell Invitational next Saturday and Sunday, hosted by Princeton.
