The UMBC track and field teams concluded their respective relays on Saturday. Both teams are prepping themselves for the America East Championships later in April.

The women were led in the Colonial Relays by the distance medley team of Angelina Oputa, Essence Fredericks, Mary Katherine Kulp and Sophia Cologer. The team finished second with a time of 12:01.68.

In Florida, the women's 4x100m relay team finished in 29th with a time of 46.68. The women's 4x200m relay team place 21st with a time of 1:38.69.

In the field, Alisha Beeman took eighth in the high jump. Beeman had her best jump of 1.68m. In the shot put, the Edokobi sisters (Nneoma and Ozi) placed eleventh and 17th. Ozi took eleventh with a throw of 13.91m, while Nneoma finished 17th with a toss of 13.13m.

Yao Adantor led the men, finishing 18th in the shot put competition. Adantor has a toss of 16.11m to place him 18th.

The Retrievers will return to action on Saturday, April 11, when they head to Fairfax, Va. UMBC and George Mason will face off in a dual meet starting at 10:00 a.m.
