Former UMBC swimming and diving standout Nikola Trajkovic joined the staff as director of swimming and diving operations in August, 2018.
During his four-year tenure on the swim team, Trajkovic was an integral part of the Retrievers program. He helped the men's team to three-straight CCSA Championships, while also earning the conference's Rookie of the Year honor in 2014-15.
In the men's return to the America East, Trajkovic was a three-time finalist at the championship meet and helped the men to gold in the 800 free relay, earning the Dave Alexander Coaches' Award for most points in a meet by a senior. The Zrenjanin, Serbia-native currently owns the school record in the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.39.
