NOTES: In 2019, broke her own Egyptian National Record in the 800 free with a time of 8:51.38 (previously 8:53.24)... Qualified for the 2019 FINA World Championships in the 800 free and 1500 free... Took home five gold medals at the 2019 Egyptian Nationals: 1500 free, 800 free, 200 free, 400 free, and 4x200 relays... Became the Egyptian National Record Holder in 2017 in the 400 free at the Egyptian Nationals with a time of 4:18.95… Competed at the 2017 FINA World Championships in the 800 free and 400 free.

 

2018-19:

  • Named a team captain for the 2018-19 season.
  • Took home gold at the ECAC Championships in the 1650 free, touching the wall in a time of 16:57.09; during the event, set a school record in the 1000 free with a time of 9:58.05.
  • At the America East Championships, set the UMBC record and earned gold in the 1650 free with a time of 16:39.98.
  • Also earned silver and set a new school mark in the 500 free with a time of 4:49.26, breaking a 14-year-old record; she also earned a silver in the 200 free with a time of 1:49.80.
  • Finished first in the 200 and 1000 free and second in the 500 free against East Carolina.
  • Swept the events she participated in (200 free, 500 free, 1000 free) against Howard.
  • At the Patriot Invitational, finished third in the 1650 free (16:55.88) and 500 free (4:56.83), and fourth in the 200 free (1:52.53).
  • Finished first in all three free events against Towson, William and Mary, and in the tri-meet against Johns Hopkins and Delaware.
  • Four-time America East Female Swimmer of the Week (10/10, 10/24, 11/20, 1/8).
  • Earned the Dave Alexander Coaches’ Award at the America East Championships.
  • Was named UMBC Most Outstanding Female Senior Athlete at the 2019 Grittys.

2017-18: Two-time champion at the America East Championships… Earned gold in the 1650 free, touching in with a time of 16:53.55… Also earned gold in the 500 free in a time of 4:51.89… Took home bronze in the 200 free, clocking in with a time of 1:50.39… Helped the women earn a gold in the 800 free relay… At the ECAC Championships, earned fourth place in the 500 free with a time of 4:52.97… Earned All-America East honors… Named America East Female Swimmer of the Week (1/9, 11/7, 10/11).

2016-17: Finished her second year as a Retriever with gold… Took home first place in the 500 free and 1650 free.. Placed fourth in the 200 free at the America East Conference… Touched the wall four seconds faster than the previous year in the 500 free... Named to America East Honor Roll. 

2015-16: Had a breakout freshman campaign for the Retrievers, earning a pair of medals at the America East Championships in Worcester... Moro finished sixth in the 500 free, touching the wall in a time of 4:56.21, the best time of her career... She followed that with a seventh place finish in the 200 free, finishing in 1:51.69... She also finished the 100 free in a lifetime best time of 52.50... Earned gold at the Egyptian Nationals in the 800 free with a time of 9:08.06.
