BOSTON, Mass. - Freshman Danielle Fuentes (Rockville, Md./Magruder) has been named to the America East All-Rookie Team, the conference announced Wednesday. She is the Retrievers' first All-Rookie selection since Skyler Mackey in 2015.

Fuentes played in 15 games of her rookie campaign, starting in 13 of them. She finished second on the team with nine points off three goals and three assists. Fuentes had her breakout game against Mount St. Mary's, where she contributed a goal and two assists in UMBC's 4-3 victory.

UAlbany took home three major awards, as they claimed Striker of the Year (Mariah Williams), Defender of the Year (Caroline Kopp), and Rookie of the Year (Jada Colbert). UMass Lowell's Rachel Morrier was named Midfielder of the Year, while Stony Brook's Sofia Manner took home Goalkeeper of the Year. The Seawolves also took home Coaching Staff of the Year, after the team clinched their first regular-season title since 2013 and its first #1 seed in the conference tournament.
