BALTIMORE – The UMBC women's soccer team has announced its plans to hold a Girls' Fall ID Clinic, Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Retriever Soccer Park. The clinic is designed for committed and dedicated players, grades 8-12, aspiring to become future UMBC Retriever soccer players; and to educate players on the demands and expectations of being a Division I student-athlete.
The clinic, under camp director and UMBC women's soccer head coach Leslie Wray, provides a technical-tactical training session, goalkeeper training, strength and conditioning session, and a full-sided game conducted by the Retrievers' coaching staff.
Players will also gain insight on NCAA rules and procedures through a college recruiting seminar, and learn more about the UMBC women's soccer program and university as a student-athlete.
The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 at a rate of 110 dollars – with lunch being provided by the camp.
