Biography

Accolades: (2011/2012) Earned place on America East Academic Honor Roll during both of his fall semesters at UMBC. (2013) Selected to America East Fall Honor Roll. (2014) Named to Dean's List (3.75 gpa) in the spring term. 

2013: Competed in one contest, coming off the bench versus UNLV on Sept. 1. 


2012: Saw his first collegiate action, competing in games vs. Howard (Oct. 2) and Boston U. (Oct. 13).

2011: Earned a letter in his initial season at UMBC, but did not compete in any fall contests.

Background: Majoring in financial economics…First native of Georgia to compete for the Retrievers… Named First Team All-Region by The Columbia News-Times in 2011, after earning Second Team honors in 2010… Also earned First Team All-CSRA as a senior and competed in the state all-star contest… Recorded 12 goals and added 14 assists as a forward in his senior campaign… Helped the Knights reach the state AAAA quarterfinals during his tenure… Also lettered in cross country… A member of the National Math Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and was an honor roll student at Evans… Has one older brother, Will, who competes in track & field and soccer at Whitworth University (Wash.), and three younger brothers… Lists favorite professional team as Manchester United… Son of Lorena and Steve Wren… Born Nov. 23, 1992.
