• Started and played all 17 games of the 2022 season in goal.
• Faced 33 shots and recorded a career high 13 saves against NJIT (10/13)
• Had a total of 86 saves for the Retrievers

2021

• Named team’s Unsung Hero
• Led the triumvirate of UMBC goalkeepers with eight starts and eight games played
• Made 6.25 saves per game – second most in America East – but did not play enough games to qualify for league stats
• Stopped nine Towson shots on goal in a 1-1 overtime draw as she debuted on August 29
• Rejected nine Maine shots on goal and recorded her first shutout in 1-0 win in Orono on Sept. 19
• Posted a career high 11 saves in hard-luck 1-0 loss to UMass Lowell on Oct. 3

2021 SPRING: 

• Did not see any game action during the 2021 spring season.

2019:

• Saw no action.

BACKGROUND:

• Played goalkeeper for Bryan Turner at Blue Valley North.
• Named the 2019 Eastern Kansas League Goalkeeper of the Year.
• Also earned 2019 Eastern Kansas League First Team honors.
• Selected to the Kansas State 6A Second Team.
• Helped lead Blue Valley North to a state ranking of 2nd as a sophomore.
• Won a regional championship with the Mustangs as a sophomore and junior.
• Earned honorable mention EKL goalkeeper as a junior.
• Played her club soccer with KC Athletic.
• Was also a member of the Southwind and MAVS for volleyball, and Les Chats and Jayhawks for basketball.

PERSONAL:

• Daughter of Bryan and Mary Beth McGruder and Hollie McGruder.
• Has one brother, Matthew.
• Plans on studying biomedical engineering with career ambitions to be a stem cell researcher or a professional soccer player.
