Senior midfielder Carolyn Jamison (Westminster, Md./Westminster) has been selected to participate in the 2018 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star Game, the association announced Friday. Jamison is the first Retriever to participate since Amanda Pappas in 2011.
Jamison was one of the 44 Division I seniors to participate in the annual exhibition, which will take place on Saturday, June 2 at Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. Jamison will play for the South squad, coached by James Madison's Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe.
The three-time America East All-Conference selection led the Retrievers in 2018 with 65 points off 44 goals and 21 assists, while also collecting a team-high 46 ground balls and causing 26 turnovers.
Jamison ends her four-year tenure at UMBC as one of the most prominent players, ranking in the top five in program history with 217 points (second) off 156 goals (third) and 61 assists (third). She was named to the America East All-Conference first team in 2016 and 2017 while earning second-team honors this season. Jamison was also named to the America East All-Tournament Team in 2015 and 2017.
Jamison is one of seven recent Retrievers to be selected for the North-South game since 2006, joining Pappas (2011), Sarah Willis (2010), Kara Dorr (2009), Ali Levendusky (2008), Kelly Fiorani (2006), and Julie Libertini (2006).
