BOSTON, Mass. – Senior midfielder Carolyn Jamison (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was named the America East women's lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
This is third straight week that a UMBC player has earned the award, with junior Sara Moeller (Phoenix, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) being tabbed for the award the last two times.
In a 2-0 week for the Retrievers, Jamison scored eight points off seven goals and one assist. In a 13-10 victory over Coastal Carolina on Wednesday, she led the team with four goals; she also had four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
In a 16-10 win over Duquesne on Saturday, Jamison netted three goals and had one assist. The senior also had one caused turnover and one draw control.
The Retrievers will return home to UMBC Stadium on Wednesday, March 14 as they welcome crosstown rivals Johns Hopkins. The opening draw is set for 5 p.m.
