Moeller and Renehan Earn America East Weekly Awards

Boston, Mass. -- Sara Moeller (Phoenix, Md.) was named America East Co-Offensive Player of the Week while Kayla Renehan (Glenelg, Md.) was named Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. 

Moeller tallied 16 points in a 2-0 week behind six goals and six assists against VCU and the game winning goal with 35 seconds left at Mount St. Mary's.

Renehan picked up five ground balls and caused five turnovers in the two games combined. She helps to anchor a defense that is third in the country in scoring defense, allowing only 6.67 goals a game and fifth in caused turnovers, forcing 13.33 per contest. Renehan ranks fifth in the nation and second in the America East in caused turnovers with 3.00 per game.

The Retrievers travel to College Park to face fourth-ranked Maryland on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
