Taylor struck again, her second of three goals in the contest, 7:30 into the second half, scoring on a free position shot for her second of the day to bring Columbia within four, 6-2. Semones responded with back-to-back goals as part of a three goal run, completing her third hat trick of the season. Wilson chipped in with her second goal of the contest to cap off the run that left the Retrievers with a 9-2 advantage.
The Lions did not go down without a fight, scoring six unanswered, including three times over a 1:27 span, to come within one, 9-8, with 6:40 to go in the contest. Junior Kaitlin Brophy started the run, followed by Quinn's third of the day. Senior Paige Cuscovitch tallied back-to-back scores, the second with 8:40 remaining.
