Baltimore, Md.-- UMBC women's basketball hosts the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon on Alumni Day. The Retrievers are coming off a 58-44 loss to Vermont on Wednesday morning. UMBC kept it close for a majority of the game, but the Catamounts pulled away late for the win. Sophomore Janee'a Summers (Bound Brook, N.J.) led the way with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Scouting the Retrievers:
-UMBC comes into the contest at 7-12, 0-6 AE having lost their last seven in a row. Most recently, the Retrievers dropped a 58-44 decision to Vermont on Wednesday morning. Janee'a Summers led the way with her third double-double of the year with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Te'yJah Oliver (Clinton, Md./Riverdale Baptist) chipped in 14 points in the loss.
-Summers and Oliver are leading the Retrievers averaging over 10 points per game. Summers is the leader at 11.9 ppg, collecting a team best 6.5 rebounds per game. Oliver is second in scoring, averaging 10.1 ppg while also leading the team with 25 steals. The Retrievers as a team are averaging 57.7 ppg, shooting 38 percent from the floor.
Scouting the Wildcats:
-The Wildcats enter the game at 4-15, 1-5 AE on the year, having lost three straight since defeating UMass Lowell back on January 9. Last time out, the Wildcats fell 66-48 to league leader Hartford in Durham. New Hampshire held the lead at halftime, but the Hawks came out and used a 23-5 third quarter to pull ahead for good.
-New Hampshire is led by freshman Kari Brekke, who is averaging 9.2 ppg. Both the team's leading scorer (Ashley Storey 17.1 ppg) and leading rebounder (Maggie Ahearn 6.6 rpg) are out due to injuries and have seen limited time this year. The Wildcats are scoring at a 54.9 ppg clip while shooting 36.4 percent from the floor.
-This will be the 32nd meeting all-time between the two schools with New Hampshire leading the series 17-14, including wins in five straight. Last year the Wildcats swept the season series.
-UMBC is 7-8 all-time in games played in Baltimore. The last Retriever win in the series came on Jan. 30, 2016 (65-55) with the last home win coming on Feb. 7, 2015 (69-55).
