Baltimore, Md.-- UMBC women's basketball will look to snap a three game losing streak against UMass Lowell on Saturday at the UMBC Event Center. The Retrievers are coming off a 66-52 loss to Hartford on Wednesday night. Sophomore Janee'a Summers (Bound Brook, N.J.) had another monster game with a game high 19 points and nine rebounds. Junior Dominika Skrocka (Moscow, Russia) chipped in 10 points in the loss that drops UMBC to 7-8, 0-2 AE.

Scouting the Retrievers:
-The Retrievers are coming off a 66-52 loss to Hartford on Wednesday that saw UMBC turn the ball over 22 times. Janee'a Summers led all scorers with 19 points, grabbing nine rebounds in the loss. Dominika Skrocka chipped in 10 points while freshman Kayla Jackson (Rochester, N.Y.) added seven points and a career high 11 rebounds.
-Summers paces the Retriever offense scoring 12.7 points per game and collecting a team best 6.4 rebounds per game. Junior guard Te'yJah Oliver (Clinton, Md./Riverdale Baptist) is the only other Retriever averaging double figures at 10.7 ppg. Skrocka is leading the America East in three point shooting at 40.9 percent from deep.
Scouting the River Hawks:
-UMass Lowell heads to Baltimore at 5-11, 1-2 AE on the year having lost their last two America East contests to Stony Brook (76-56) and most recently New Hampshire (56-53) on Wednesday. The River Hawks held a one point lead with 1:47 to go, but the Wildcats got an and one with 22 seconds to go, taking the lead for good.
-Bri Rudolph is the only River Hawk averaging double figures at 12.1 per game. She is shooting 40 percent from the floor and is pulling down 5.3 rebounds per game. Bri Stiers is leading the team on the glass, grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game and scoring at a 7.5 ppg clip.
-This will be just the 12th meeting all-time since the River Hawks joined the Division I ranks and the America East in 2014. UMBC leads the all-time series 7-4, winning the last seven meetings including three wins last year.
-UMBC most recently defeated the River Hawks, 73-65 in the America East Tournament First Round a year ago. The Retrievers are 4-2 all-time in games played in Baltimore.
-UMBC will hit the road next week for a pair of contests in New York against Binghamton (Wednesday Jan. 16) and UAlbany (Saturday, Jan. 19).
