CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The UMBC women's basketball team will have seven games broadcast by Q1370 and one contest set to take place on ESPN3, as part of the America East television package.
This season's America East package with ESPN platforms brings 25 AEC regular-season games (16 men and nine women) to the national stage, in addition to all of the America East Women's Basketball Championships and the semifinals and finals of the Men's Basketball Playoffs.
The Retrievers' contest on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Albany at 7 p.m. will be broadcast nationally on ESPN3. The conference will also produce four wild card games (two men and two women) featuring the league's most intriguing matchups in the final week of the regular season. UMBC's matchups that are available for wild card consideration are a Thursday, Feb. 26 contest at Maine and the Retrievers' Senior Day on Sunday, March 1 versus Binghamton.
Troy Green and Dan Levin will bring Retriever fans all the action on Q1370 (WQLL-AM) for seven UMBC women's basketball games in 2014-15. The radio schedule will open with the Retrievers' taking on local-rival Loyola (Md.) on Sunday, Nov. 16. Green and Levin will bring Q1370 on the road for the only time of the season when it travels to American on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
The Retrievers will jump start the new year with a radio game versus Morgan State on Thursday, Jan. 1. The radio station will broadcast four America East contests, beginning with a Feb. 4 matchup versus UMass Lowell. Also airing will be contests against New Hampshire (Feb. 7), Hartford (Feb. 22) and Binghamton (March 1).
