BALTIMORE, MD. - The UMBC women's basketball team (14-13, 8-6 America East) heads to Massachusetts looking to bounce back against league-leading Boston University on Wednesday night.  Tip-off at Case Gymnasium is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Retrievers and Terries met earlier this year at the RAC with the visitors claiming the win, 59-53, in front of a record crowd.  Senior Erin Brown (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) led the Retrievers with 14 points, but Boston U.'s Alex Young countered with 14 points of her own to lead the visitors to the win.

RETRIEVER UPDATE: UMBC is now 14-13 and 8-6 in America East play following Sunday's loss at Hartford, 66-54.
Freshman Lauren Chase led the way for the Retrievers scoring 15 points, dishing out three assists and grabbing two rebounds.  Senior Michelle Kurowski scored 12 points to extend her career-long double digit scoring streak to 13 games.  Classmate Topé Obajolu was also in double figures for UMBC with 10 points.
Kurowski and Erin Brown, who leads the America East in scoring with 14.8 points per game, are two of just 12 Retrievers ever in the 1,000-point/500-rebound club. UMBC is the preseason favorite to win the America East Conference after winning the 2011 regular-season title with a 13-3 record in league play. The Retrievers posted a 20-12 overall mark, matching the school record for wins in a season,
and earned a berth in the WNIT after falling to Hartford in the
America East semifinals.

TERRIER UPDATE: Boston sits atop the America East at 20-7 overall and 13-1 in conference play, despite Saturday's loss to Albany, 48-41, at home.  Senior Caroline Stewart was the only Terrier in double figures with 14 points.  Boston U.'s leading scorer, Chantell Alford, who averages 12.8 points per game was held to just four points.
