The UMBC Softball team closes out the road portion of the regular season schedule when it travels to second place UAlbany for a critical America East series this weekend.
Logan Hawker (Mechanicsville, Md.) went 2-for-3 with a home run, but it wasn't enough as visiting Stony Brook used three homers of its own to defeat the UMBC Softball team, 6-3, on Wednesday afternoon.
Julia Keffler (Huntingtown, Md.) and Anna Lonchar (Bristow, Va.) also drove in runs for UMBC (23-19, 4-8 AE), while Imani Dawson (Hanover, Md.) was the only other Retriever with multiple hits, picking up two singles.
