Colbert, Brown Earn America East Track Performers of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Junior Keith Brown (Columbia, Md./McDonough) and freshman Imani Colbert (Upper Marlboro, Md./C.H. Flowers) were named male and female America East Track Performers of the Week, for the week ending Jan. 11, the conference announced Tuesday.

Brown earned four medals, including two golds, at the Gulden Relays in Lewisburg, Pa. this past weekend.  Brown placed first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.23 seconds and was the anchor of the first-place men's shuttle hurdles team that broke a school record.  Brown was also a member of the second-place 4x200-meter relay team and the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay team that placed third.

Colbert broke two school records for the Retrievers with an ECAC-qualifying time of 8.81 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and was part of the women's shuttle hurdles team that finished in a school-record time of 34.38.  The freshman was also a part of 4x200-meter relay team that finished third and the 4x400-meter relay team that placed fourth.

The Retrievers return to action Saturday at the Maryland Indoor Invitational in Landover, Md.
