Spring 2015: Started the season with a pair of singles’ wins and posted a 2-1 mark overall… Triumphed in a MVAC match against Morgan White of Hartford, 6-3, 6-4.

Fall 2014: Completed a comeback to beat Andrew Curtis, of Mary Washington, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 8 position and teamed up with freshman newcomer Jeremy Gibbens to win their match 8-0 against GMU at the George Mason Invitational … Won all three doubles matches at the tournament …  Edged UD’s Shane Jaffray, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 7-5 then defeated Navy’s Tyler Burnett/Andrey Majkic, 8-2, at No. 3 doubles and Krisha Jana 6-4, 6-3 in singles action at the Navy Invitational.

2014: Produced a singles record of 6-2 in his initial campaign… Clinched match victory over Xavier with a tough 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 victory.


Background: Won the Maryland Tennis State Championship his senior year at Reservoir High School… Named Most Valuable Player in the region and in Howard County from 2010-13… Earned Gold Honor Roll from 2009-13 and African-American Outstanding Achievement award in 2013… … Plans to major in computer science… Wants to become a professional tennis player and/or become active in aiding third-world countries……Son of Musili and Lanre Akinshemoyin.
