Four Retrievers Earn CSCAA Scholar All-American Honors
July 01, 2015Three UMBC swimmers and one diver earned CSCAA Scholar All-American status, as announced by the CSCAA (College Swimming Coaches Association of America) on Wednesday. Rising seniors Coco Darelius (Rye, N.Y./Rye) and Leo Endres (Bamberg, Germany/Kaiser Heinrich Gymnasium), as well as rising junior Gregor Sporlein (Bamberg, Germany/Clavius Gymnasium) and rising sophomore Nikola Trajkovic (Zrenjanin, Serbia/Zrenjaninska Gimnazija) earned the honor for their work in the pool and in the classroom. -
UMBC Diving Closes NCAA Zone “A” Diving Championships on Tuesday
March 10, 2015Ryan Green (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), Pak Lam Wong (Hong Kong/Kowloon Technical School) competed in the 1 meter dive, while Coco Darelius (Rye, N.Y./Rye) participated in the 3 meter dive to complete the zone championships. -
UMBC Divers Take to the Empire State for NCAA Zone Diving Competition
March 09, 2015Three Retrievers will take to the boards in hopes of qualifying for NCAA Championships. This year’s zone meet will be held at the University of Buffalo on March 9-11. -

March 01, 2015Sophomore Emily Escobedo broke another school record, improving on her seeding for NCAA's on Saturday at the ECAC Championships. Several Retrievers earned top eight finishes in final heats. -

February 28, 2015UMBC swimming and diving competed on day two of the ECAC Championships at the University of Pittsburgh. Several Retrievers competed, with many setting personal records and school records. -
Trajkovic Wins 200 IM on First Day of ECAC Championships
February 27, 2015The winning ways continue for UMBC in the postseason. Freshman Nikola Trajkovic (Zrenjanin, Serbia/Zrenjaninska Gimnazjia) won the 200 IM on Friday. Nikola was the lone UMBC competitor on the day. -
Several Retrievers Head to the Steel City for ECAC Championships
February 26, 2015The UMBC swimming and diving team will make the trek to the University of Pittsburgh for the ECAC Championships. Both the men and women are coming off championships in their respective conferences (CCSA and America East). -

February 21, 2015UMBC men’s swimming and diving team avenged their second place finish to Incarnate Word from a year ago, by winning the 2015 CCSA Championship on Saturday. The Retrievers started the weekend strong, and finished the same way, winning by almost 200 points. -

February 18, 2015The UMBC men’s swimming team kicked off the 2015 CCSA Championships with a bang on Wednesday. The Retrievers won the 800 free relay, and finished second in the 200 medley relay. -
Men's Swimming and Diving Heads to Georgia for CCSA Championships
February 17, 2015The UMBC men's swimming and diving team will make the trek to the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. for the 2015 CCSA (Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association) Championships. The Retrievers will look to avenge their second place finish from a year ago, where they fell to reigning champs Incarnate Word. -

The duo also took home CCSA Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors yesterday for their performances against East Carolina this past weekend. -

Retrievers Fall Short Against East Carolina on Saturday
January 24, 2015UMBC fell to East Carolina on Saturday, as the men were defeated 154-145 and the women 188-112. The Retrievers and Pirates took it all the way to the wire, as the men squeaked by with the last relay of the day. -
UMBC Closes the Regular Season Against East Carolina on Saturday
January 23, 2015UMBC will host the Pirates in the regular season finale. It will also be senior day for the Retrievers, as 11 Retrievers will be honored prior to the meet. -

January 10, 2015The UMBC swimming and diving teams picked up victories over Howard on Saturday. The men (6-1) won 121-92, while the women (5-1) earned a 121-95 victory. UMBC won every event on the day. -

October 24, 2014UMBC will head to our nation’s capital on Saturday for the last dual meet of the fall. The Retrievers are coming off sweeps at the CCSA North Invitational last Saturday and Sunday. In the process, head coach Chad Cradock earned his 200th career victory. -

October 21, 2014Sophomore Gregor Sporlein (Bamberg, Germany/Clavius Gymnasium) and senior Ryan Green (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) earned their second straight CCSA (Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association) Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors. The tandem led the Retrievers past Gardner Webb, NJIT, and VMI this past weekend, earning Coach Chad Cradock his 200th career win.
