Swimming and Diving vs. Navy Friday to be Broadcast Live on UMBCRetrievers.tv

BALTIMORE – The UMBC swimming and diving teams will make their first appearance on UMBCRetrievers.tv this season when the Retrievers take on Navy on Friday, Oct. 19.  The meet, which at 4 p.m., will be shown live from the UMBC Aquatic Complex with multiple camera angles, replays, and live commentary.  Also, keep up to date with results and scores by following UMBC Athletics on twitter at @UMBCAthletics.

This past weekend, the Retrievers kicked off their dual meet season this past weekend with a sweep of Rider, but women's squad was edged by James Madison.  Seniors Pierre De Waal (Pretoria, South Africa/Tuks Sport/Cleveland State) and Mohamed Hussein (Cairo, Egypt/Victory College) each won three individual events for the men while junior Klara Pavelkova (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Pripotocni) claimed two victories for the women. 

In addition to the Navy meet on Friday, UMBCRetrievers.tv is scheduled to broadcast the swimming and diving meet against Howard on Nov. 10 as well as the meet versus Old Dominion Jan. 12.
