Baltimore, Md.-- UMBC closes out their two game home stand against Howard on Tuesday, after knocking off George Washington, 2-1 in overtime on Saturday. The Retrievers fell behind after the first 45 minutes, but got a goal from Sammy Kahsai (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) late in the second half to tie it up. Tyler Ward (Buford, Ga./Mill Creek) scored with nine seconds left in the extra session to lift UMBC to a 2-1-3 record.

Scouting the Retrievers:
-UMBC extended their unbeaten streak to four with a 2-1 comeback win against George Washington on Saturday in overtime. Sophomore Tyler Ward scored his first collegiate goal with nine second left in overtime to lift the Retrievers to victory.
-A trio of Retrievers have tallied two goal on the year in Tre Pulliam (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley), Sammy Kahsai and Christian Morales (Gaithersburg, Md./Frederick). Pulliam leads the team with five points, adding an assist. Gregg Hauck (Linthicum, Md./North County) and Jon Bell (Silver Spring, Md./Richard Montgomery) each have two assists for UMBC.
-Billy Heavner (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) has started every game in net for UMBC, going 2-1-3 on the year. Heavner has made 19 saves for a save percentage of .704. He has allowed eight goals for a goals against average of 1.18.
Scouting the Bison:
-Howard comes to Baltimore having dropped their most recent contest against Monmouth on Saturday in D.C., 1-0. The Bison will begin a three game road stretch to end the month of September with the Retrievers.
-Andres Gomez leads the Bison offense, scoring two of the teams three goals this season. Joel Pagan has the other tally, with Daniel Hart totaling the lone Bison assist in 2016.
-Kenneth Hersey has played every minute in net for the Bison, letting in ten goals for a goals against average of 1.18. He has made 43 saves for a saves percentage of .811.
-UMBC currently ranks 17th in attendance in the NCAA, averaging 1,331 fans at Retriever Soccer Park for matches. A total of 6,655 fans have flocked to Baltimore to see the Retrievers this year.
-UMBC and Howard will be meeting for the 17th time in the all-time series, with the Retrievers holding a 12-2-2 record.
-UMBC has won the last four meetings, and are unbeaten in the last six dating back to 2004.
-The last meeting between the two was last year, earning a 2-1 win at home for the 100th time at Retriever Soccer Park. After UMBC held a 1-0 lead after the first half, an own goal gave UMBC the win late in the second half.
