Kapor, Caringi, Paddock All Honored on NSCAA All-Region Teams

Kansas City, Kan.- Senior midfielder Milo Kapor (Toronto, Ont./Emily Carr) and junior forward Pete Caringi III (Perry Hall, Md./Calvert Hall) were both selected to the National College Soccer Coaches' Association All-Northeast Region Second Team, it was announced on Sunday, Dec. 9.  

Senior fullback Liam Paddock (Worcestershire, England/Chase Technology College) earned Third Team honors.

UMBC's three selections match the school's most regional honors at the Division I level. The Retrievers had three Northeast Region recipients- Andrew Bulls, Levi Houapeu and Chris Williams- in 2009 and three South Atlantic Region honorees- Giuliano Celenza,Matt Gormley and Andy Wells- in 2000.


In the 2012 final NCAA Division I statistics report, Kapor finished second in the nation in total assists (13) and sixth in assists per game (0.59). Caringi placed 13th in total goals (14) and 15th in total points (32).

Paddock, who was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division I Men's Soccer First Team, will graduate with a double-major in psychology/sociology on Dec. 21, completing his degree requirements in 3.5 years.

All three earned America East Conference First Team honors.
