2010: Duplicated his freshman campaign by starting all 19 games… Teamed with Chris Williams to comprise a formidable duo in the center of the UMBC defense… Scored his first collegiate goal, the game’s final tally, in a 3-0 win over Hartford on Oct. 23… His second tally ended up as the game-winner in the 3-2 America East semifinal victory over Stony Brook… The goal occurred with seven seconds left in the first half and gave the Retrievers a 3-1 lead… Both of his scores came off of headers from deep inside the opponents’ box area.
2009: Scrappy central defender started all 19 games he dressed for in his initial campaign… Played all 90 minutes in 17 games, including each of the last eight contests of the season… Did not play vs. Longwood (Oct. 17) due to yellow card accumulations.
Background: Captain of the Chase Technology College team from 2002-2008, Welland Juniors (U-15/16) from 2004-2006 and Malvern Town (U-18) from 2006-2008… Represented the county in soccer, rugby union, cricket and athletics throughout his high school career… Lists his favorite pro team as Birmingham City… Has a younger brother, Sean, who is 13… Son of Deb and Steve Paddock… Born on Nov. 19, 1989.
