Albany Trips Up Men's Soccer, 3-1

Albany, N.Y.- Host Albany scored twice in the first eight minutes of play and went on to post a 3-1 victory over UMBC in America East Conference action.

The loss snapped UMBC's three-game unbeaten streak and the Retrievers fell to 3-6-2 overall, 0-1-1 in league play. Albany is now 4-4-2, 2-0-0.

Pijnenburg, did manage to put four shots on goal in the final 45 minutes, but three of four were turned away by Albany netminder Steward Ceus. Retriever goalkeeper Steve King also had four saves in the UMBC net.
