FEAZELL'S LATE GOAL GIVES MEN'S SOCCER 1-0 DOUBLE OT WIN OVER BINGHAMTON

Vestal, N.Y. - Junior forward David Feazell (Bel Air, Md./Fallston) scored with 1:02 remaining in the second overtime as visiting UMBC (6-3-2, 3-0 America East) posted a 1-0 lead over Binghamton (8-2-1, 2-1 A. East).

The Retrievers are now unbeaten in six straight games (5-0-1) and have posted four straight shutouts.

Binghamton outshot UMBC, 16-10, but the Retrievers were the aggressors in the final ten minutes. Freshman midfielder Dan Bulls (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) beat his defender and drove toward the goal line, before striking the ball towards the Bearcat goal. It glanced off a BU defender, and Feazell back-heeled the ball into the goal from four yards away.

It was Feazell's fifth goal of the year, tying him with Kevin Mezzadra for the team lead. He also has three game-winning goals in 2005.

Freshman netminder Steve King (Baltimore, Md./Curley) recorded a career high seven saves to post his fourth shutout in four starts. He is unscored upon in 403 minutes of action.

UMBC evened the overall series with Binghamton at 1-1-1. The Retrievers board a plane on Friday to take on 23rd-ranked Vermont on Saturday.
