UMBC Men’s Basketball Unveils America East Schedule

Conference Release | 2019-20 Conference Schedule

Baltimore, Md.-- UMBC men's basketball and the America East revealed the 2019-20 conference slate on Wednesday. The Retrievers will kick off the conference season at the UMBC Event Center against UMass Lowell after the new year. 

The Retrievers will open the new year at the UMBC Event Center against UMass Lowell on Jan 4. UMBC will then travel to Binghamton on Jan. 8 before returning home to take on defending champion Vermont on Saturday, Jan. 11. Following a bye, the Retrievers will have back-to-back road tests against New Hampshire (Jan. 18) and Hartford (Jan. 22) before hosting Maine and UAlbany to close out the month. 

The month of February opens with UMBC on the road against Stony Brook before returning to Baltimore for meeting with Hartford on Feb. 5. The Dawgs will then travel to UMass Lowell on Feb. 8 before their last bye of the season. Following the bye, UMBC will host New Hampshire before a back-to-back at UAlbany and Vermont on Feb. 20 and 22. The Retrievers will play two of the last three at home against Binghamton (Feb. 26) and Stony Brook (March 3) with a trip to Maine on Feb. 29 mixed in. 

Once again the America East Playoffs will see the top eight teams play each round at the homecourt of the higher seed. Quarterfinal action takes place on Saturday, March 7 with the semifinals on Tuesday, March 10 and the championship on Saturday, March 14 on ESPN2 at 11 a.m. All conference games can be seen on Watch ESPN and the ESPN app.
