2016-17: Suffered a pre-season lower body injury and did not dress through four games... Debuted at Navy on Nov. 23 and scored 3 points and added 2 helpers in 13 minutes... Scored in double figures with 11 points. in 25 minutes in a victory at Duquesne a week later... Made his first start of the year vs. Messiah and led the team with 6 assists... Scored 12 points in 17 minutes of action at Richmond on Dec. 10... After missing four contests, returned to action in homestand against Binghamton and Maine... Scored 18 points at UMass Lowell, and tied career mark by knocking down 4 (of 5) treys...  Tallied season-highs in minutes (35) and points (22) vs. UNH on Jan. 28... In a four-game stretch from Jan. 22-Feb. 1, averaged 16.8 points per game and shot 62.5 percent from the floor and 56.9 percent from behind the arc... Surpassed the century mark in treys, getting No. 100 vs. UNH on Jan. 28 and has 118 through three seasons…  UMBC was 4-1 in AE play when he scores in double figures. .. One of two Retrievers in double figures (10 pts.) in AE Playoff loss at UNH… Shared team honors with Will Darley by scoring 15 points and added season-high five caroms in season finale vs. TAMCC… Averaged 13.3 points per game and hit 11 of 22 shots from the floor in the final three games of the CIT… Produced his most efficient season from the floor (46.3 percent) and from behind the arc (40.7 percent). 

2015-16: Returned after nearly a year absence and scored in double figures in his first six games… Scored 19 points and added five assists and three steals versus Loyola on Nov. 18…  Reached the 500-point mark for his career in 34 games, the second-fastest to reach that plateau in school history (Peter Mulligan, 32 games)… Hit the 20-point mark for the first time in the 2015-16 campaign with a 20-point effort in a victory over UMES on New Year’s Eve… Followed up by scoring 21 points two days later at NJIT… Tied a career-best with 8 assists vs. Maine and converted 13-of-14 free throws in a 21-point effort versus Maine on Jan. 9… The 13 free throws made is tied for the fifth-most in school history… Scored season-high 24 points in 40 minutes as UMBC fell to UMass Lowell in overtime on Jan. 16…   Tied for third-best mark in school history, with an 11-for-11 free throw effort at UML on Valentine’s Day… Suffered a lower body injury at UML and did not dress for the last four regular season contests… Did see action (25 minutes) in AE quarter-final contest at Stony Brook… Finished the campaign tenth in scoring average (12.8), third in assists per game (3.6) and fifth in free throw percentage (81.4) in America East… His 114 free throws made ended up five shy of UMBC’s all-time sophomore record… Has scored in double figures in 47 of 59 career games. 

2014-15: Started his 31st consecutive game at Akron on Nov. 14... Scored eight first-half points, but left contest with upper body injury early in the second half and did not return... Underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in late December and will receive a medical hardship waiver to retain three years of eligibility.

2013-14:  Finished the year as the leading scorer amongst all league freshmen with 15.0 points per game, which was the fifth-best overall figure in the conference…Placed fourth in America East in assists (3.6), sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.0), and eighth in steals (1.3)… Became UMBC's second NCAA Division I player and America East's lone competitor this season to record 400 points (451), 100 rebounds (118) and 100 assists (108) in a season… Scored 451 points, the most by a freshman in UMBC's 27 years of NCAA Division I competition…  Averaged 15.4 points per game (second) in America East contests... Earned the start at point guard in the season opener and his collegiate debut at Arizona State... Shared scoring honors with Malik Garner, contributing 12 points... Hit the game-tying 3-point field goal with 2.4 seconds remaining to send contest vs. Eastern to OT... Scored 19 points in his home debut and added a team-high five assists... Nearly pulled off UMBC’s first triple- double in 19 years when he recorded 14 points and season bests in rebounds (11) and assists (8) in the victory over Binghamton... Followed up with 21 points at Maine on Feb. 1 and earned his fourth America East Rookie-of-the-Week honor... Scored 20-or-more points in three consecutive games with 21 versus UNH on Feb. 5 and tied season high with 26 points vs. UML on Feb. 8... Earned second consecutive and fifth overall Rookie of the Week honor on Feb. 10... His five rookie honors surpassed former record-holder Chauncey Gilliam, who earned the weekly award four times in the 2008-09 campaign... Finished the season with his seventh game with 20 or more points, when he tallied 21 at Hartford on March 2... His total of 108 assists is the tied for the second-most in a single season by a Retriever freshman... Set UMBC Division I freshman record for free throws made in a season with 124... The first freshman to lead UMBC in scoring since Rich Giddens, who averaged 15.5 points per game in 1997-98...   Played 941 minutes, the fourth-most of any UMBC freshman and posted sixth-most steals (40) and eighth-most caroms (118) for Retriever freshmen. 

Background: Majoring in management of aging studies... Earned First Team All-Metro honors from The Baltimore Sun and First Team All-MIAA accolades after a brilliant senior campaign in 2012-13… The point guard led the 7^th-ranked Patriots (Baltimore Sun) with 16.6 points per game and also averaged 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals per outing… Top effort was a 32-point, 9-assist, 6-rebound outing in a win over Mount Carmel… Named All-Baltimore Catholic League and to Harford County First Team in both his junior and senior campaigns… Closed out his high school career with 1,116 points, 287 assists and 171 steals and led John Carroll to back-to-back league titles… His father, Rodney Elliott, Sr., earned four letters at the University of Maryland and competed for Gary Williams’ Terrapins from 1994-98… Selected UMBC “because it’s close to home and a great opportunity to get a great education and play for a great basketball program”… Plays the piano… Son of Deon Coleman and Rodney Elliott.
