That included lightly-used center Jakob Stenhede, whose transformation netted him an invitation to join the Swedish U-20 national team for the 2015 European Championships.

The quintet of first-year players will join sophomore transfer Jairus Lyles and seven returners to form the roster for the squad as they prepare for their 13th season in the America East Conference.

    Burlington, Vt. – Second-seeded Vermont advanced to the America East Conference semifinals with a 66-39 victory over UMBC at Patrick Gym.Sophomore forward Will Darley (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) led the Retrievers with 14 points and nine rebounds and junior forward Cody Joyce (Churchton, Md./Southern) added 10 points and seven caroms.

    Vestal, N.Y. – UMBC buried 9-of-13 treys and scored 45 points in the second half, but could not dig out of an early hole and fell, 76-69, to host Binghamton at the Events Center. our Retrievers scored in double figures, led by freshman guard Jourdan Grant, who posted 19 points and added a team-best seven rebounds and a game-high six assists.

Junior post Cody Joyce led the balanced attack with 16 points. Sophomore Will Darley added career-highs with 15 points and six assists and freshman guard Malcolm Brent (Silver Spring, Md./Northwood) also contributed 15 points.

The two America East rivals have engaged in some epic battles in Baltimore the last three years, with Maine winning, 77-76, in overtime in 2012 and UMBC prevailing, 68-67 and 79-76 in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
