Venturini's 20 points came on 7-of-11 shooting and JR F Worth Smith added 15 points. SO G Tilman Dunbar leads USNA with 11.9 ppg and 5.0 assists per game, while Smith is at  11.6 points per outing. After a 4-1 stretch, the Mids have dropped two straight and are 1-5 on the road this season.

WHO'S UP NEXT: UMBC opens its 11th season of America East Conference play on Sunday, Jan. 5 when the Retrievers travel to new league member UMass Lowell for an afternoon affair.
