UMBC faces a rested Vermont team in Burlington in America East men's basketball action on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 1:00 p.m.  Fans can catch all the action on Fox 1370 Sports Radio ( with Paul Mittermeier on the call, beginning with the pregame show at 12:55 p.m.

RETRIEVER UPDATE: UMBC (1-15, 0-3) hit a season-high 9 three-point field goals, but allowed a season-high 13 and fell, 83-75, at Binghamton on Jan. 12. The Retrievers allowed 50 second-half Bearcat points after leading, 33-27, with one minute to play in the first half. Junior guard Chris De La Rosa (team-high 16.8 ppg) continued his outstanding play with career highs in points (31), field goals (12) and treys (4) vs. 
Binghamton and is averaging 23.7 points per game in three league games to date.

CATAMOUNT UPDATE:  Vermont (11-4, 2-1) has been off since Sunday's 74-65 
loss at Boston U., which snapped a four-game winning streak for the Catamounts. Vermont was rated 66th in the latest RPI rankings from Freshman wing Brian Voelkel ripped down 12 rebounds vs. the Terriers and leads America East with 10.3 caroms per game, while senior forward Evan Fjeld is second in the league with 16.5 points per game. Vermont has won 16 of its last 17 games at Patrick Gym.
