Men's Basketball Faces Local Rival Morgan State at the Bears' Den in Saturday Matinee

RETRIEVER UPDATE: After the Retrievers' most efficient offensive effort of the season in am 86-77 loss to Towson, host UMBC slid back on Tuesday, hitting just 39 percent of its season-low shot attempts and committing 14 turnovers in a 66-53 loss to American. The backcourt duo of Travis King (20 pts.) and Chris De La Rosa (18 pts.) scored 38 of UMBC's 53 points. The Retrievers did put forth a good defensive effort, allowing a season-low 66 points and holding AU to 38.5 percent shooting. But nine of the Eagles' 20 field goals were treys and UMBC (0-10) has allowed 35 trifectas in the last four games.

 BEAR UPDATE: It has been two weeks since Morgan's last outing, a 70-64 win over league foe Coppin State. Morgan State (3-4) 6-8 forward DeWayne Jackson scorched the Eagles for 24 points. Jackson, the 2010 MEAC Rookie of the Year, leads the Bears with 15.4 points per game, while fellow post Kevin Thompson supports with 14.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest.
