RETRIEVER UPDATE: UMBC continues to struggle defensively, as they allowed 80 or more points for the fourth time in five games in Saturday's 101-69 loss at Duquesne. Graduate student guard Travis King, who leads the team with 15.2 points per game, leads the America East Conference in 3-pt. field goal percentage and is second in field goal percentage and free throw percentage. Sophomore wing Brian Neller hit four treys at Duquense and shared team-high scoring honors with 14 points.
QUAKER UPDATE: Penn also played in Pittsburgh on Saturday evening, as they dropped an 82-58 decision to the Panthers. Five Quaker regulars are hitting 50 percent or better from the floor, including leading scorer Jack Eggleston (16.0 ppg) and guard Zack Rosen (14.0 ppg, 5.6 assists per outing). Penn has home wins over Davidson (69-64) and Lafayette (74-65) this season.
