Laurence Jolicoeur Added to Men's Basketball Roster for 2010-11 Campaign

Jolicoeur (pronounced (joe-lick-OAR) is a native of Queens, N.Y., who attended Holy Cross High School. The six-foot-nine, 210-pound forward matriculated at Manhattan during the 2006-07 academic year, but did not compete due to injury.  

He competed in 68 games and started 39 over the next three seasons at Manhattan, averaging 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Jaspers. He averaged a career-best 5.4 points per game in the 2008-09 season and posted highs of 3.2 rebounds and 16 blocked shots in 2009-10.

Jolicoeur scored a career-best 18 points at Rider on Jan. 24, 2008 and recorded 12 games in double figures during his tenure at Manhattan. He excelled at the charity stripe, hitting 104 of 142 attempts (73.2%).

He earned his bachelor's degree from Manhattan in exercise science and is pursuing his master's degree in sociology at UMBC.

Retriever teammates Justin Fry and Travis King are also pursuing their master's degree from UMBC.
