UMBC comes into the midweek at 16-16 on the year, most recently dropping an America East series to UAlbany, 2-1 this weekend. The Retrievers won game one, but fell in the final two.

UMBC used a two-run first inning to take control, with Stephen Schoch (Laurel, Md./Good Counsel/Appalachian State) picking up his second save of the year and 12th overall to set the career saves record.

    UMBC baseball returns home after dropping two of three at Maine this weekend to fall to 14-13, 2-7 AE on the year. UMBC won the middle game of the three game set, led by a complete game, three hitter by Nick Trabacchi (Smithtown, N.Y.) in a 4-1 win. The Retrievers will host the Colonials at 6 p.m. before traveling to Delaware on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
